Turbo , Ad-Blue, DPF & P0045 DTC Faults on Euro 6 RWD Transit.

Look on your turbo’s electrical wiring loom connector & you ‘ll see 1 or more broken wires, fix them & the turbo will start working again. The adblue also. You’ll need to do a manual ( static) regen on the DPF system if the system has been at fault for more than say 50 miles. Ford have identified an issue on this connector design & copper wire quality & have released an updated part #2205233 which has a more effective exit angle from the connector. The copper used is no longer from recycled washing machines either, its now the good stuff, hand mined by Namibian child slaves. This wiring issue alone will give rise to adblue faults as the DPF function is disabled once any turbo or DPF wire is broken, , with no corresponding DTC’s

1st pic show’s the area of interest.

Temporary fix on the white wire ( soldered & heat shrinked ) while i am awaiting the upgraded part & you can see the blue & also the slate coloured one starting to fail also. Final pic is the upgraded part , which has it’s wiring exiting the connector at a right angle via a plastic leg.

& finally a long video saying exactly what i have already said here.

Emails:

Hi, I’m trying to source a wire repair harness for the Adblue system. I followed the forum chat and found a part # quoted as 2205233. Have contacted Ford parts online and await a reply. Also contacted Tomo parts but they require a tag number from the wire loom. Can’t find a tag hanging on the existing loom. Would you have a tag number for this part please?

When starting vehicle an error message pops up advising no start in 130 miles and to add Adblue. This needs the repair to remove the message but it also comes up with ‘exhaust filter blocked, service required’. Do you know a fix for this without having the van offline for a service please?

Many thanks for your site and any assistance you can offer.

All the best,
Charlotte

Hi, that part number brings up hits on UK ebay. Once fitted ,  drive it &  you should get a message on the dash saying “drive to regen” or similar , if so drive on the motorway, 5th gear with RPM at anything  above 2500 until message clears . If you dont get a message, try deleting any fault codes, & re-try, failing that the DPF may need a static regeneration, depending on how long the turbo fault has been present , consequently how blocked the  DPF filter is.  The adblue fault should disappear automatically once DPF is happy.
